 South Middle fork of the Oconee River

1796, October 12 --- This Indenture made between John McConnell of Elbert County
Georgia of the one part unto James Brooks of the other part, Witnesseth that for
and in consideration of the sum of $50 dollars, do bargain sell and let all that
tract of land containing 500 acres on said South Middle fork of the Oconee River
being part of 1000 acres granted Thomas Barron as presented in the plat
beginning at pine corner, running N35 W100 chains to hickory corner, thence S55
W50 chains to Beach [Beech] corner, thence S35 E100 chains to stake corner,
thence to the beginning.
