Johnston, Book F, page 95 "This Indenture made this twenty third day of March in the year eighteen hundred & thirteen between Charles McKinney of the one part & Robert D. Johnston of the other part both of the state of Georgia & County of Jackson Witnesseth that the said Charles McKinney for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert D. Johnston before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold & confirmed & by these presents do grant bargain, sell & confirm to the said Robert D. Johnston his heirs & assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County aforesaid on the north fork of the Oconee River containing seventy five & three? fourth Acres be the same more or less, bounded as follows, Beginning on a post oak corner on the line dividing said tract from the Widow Deals land S. 19 W, with the Widow Deals line to the River thence ? (2 words too dark) is made? for the ! boundary of Thomas Flournoy's land, thence with the Meanders of the River to a hickory corner thence N 19 E 25 Chains to a Simmon tree corner thence N 71 W 33 Chains & 50 links, to the beginning post oak corner It being part of a tract of five thousand acres of land originally granted to Count deEstaing & conveyed by Michael Ange Governor to the said Charles McKinney by Deed bearing date the fifth day of July 1809 To have & to hold the tract of land forever with all & singular the premises & appurtenances to the said Robert D.
