Snakes and Things
from the Jackson, Ga Herald 
Ben Long, colored, was bitten on the heel last Monday morning by a highland 
moccasin while hauling rails for Mr. C W Hood.  The bite was quite painful and 
he suffered agonies for a short time, but was soon relieved by Drs. Hardman 
and Sharp.  He has now nearly recovered from the effects of the bite and is 
almost as well as ever.
