Willie Anderson Bone, 77, of Commerce, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at his 
residence.

He was born in Jackson County and was the son of the late Ernest M. and Julia 
Brooks Bone. He was a retired machinist, a member of Hudson Lodge #294 F&AM and 
had worked part-time for The Mainstreet Newspapers some years ago. Mr. Bone was 
preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Bone; and a son, Gary Bone.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna Carter Bone, Commerce; daughter 
and son-in-law, Becky and Eddie Wortham, Athens; daughter-in-law, Gail Bone, 
Commerce; sister, Nell Frazier, Commerce; and two grandsons, Shane Bone, 
Commerce, and Blake Wortham, Athens.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Jackson 
Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Medical 
Center (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta), the American Cancer Society, or the 
Alzheimer’s Association.  Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of 
arrangements.
