Jamie Lynne Cassai, 57, of Sparta, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at her 
residence.

Born on December 21, 1948, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Nancy 
Smallwood McDaniel of Commerce and the late J.W. Barrett. She was employed with 
Bell system, Production Specialist, and was a member of the Grace Missionary 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John “Jack” Cassai, Sparta; a son, Lee Smith, 
Macon; two daughters, Stacie Gilbert, Winder, and Lisa Mins, Lawrenceville; two 
sisters, Shirley Stephenson, Commerce, and Jennifer Collins, Maysville; and 
five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 11, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Ballard officiating. Burial was in the Grey Hill 
Cemetery, Commerce.  Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of 
arrangements.
