Dorothy Sue Fowler, 65, of Commerce, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at her 
residence.

Born on October 29, 1940, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late 
Bill and Clara “Tot” Howington Archer. She was a waitress and member of 
Freedom Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Carl Fowler, Colbert; daughters, Deborah McLendon, 
Commerce, Phylliss Hopper, Lula, and Yvonne Owensby, Lula; brother, Jerry 
Archer, Commerce; sisters, Betty Jean Ayers, Homer, and Evelyn Demorest, 
Arkansas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 27, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Danny Greene and Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial 
was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
