Lucy Mae Gillespie, 78, of Nicholson, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006.

She was the daughter of the late Payton and Elizabeth Wilson Tanner. Mrs. 
Gillespie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Gillespie.

Survivors include one son, Mike Gillespie, Danielsville; two daughters, Rhonda 
Phillips, Carnesville, and Shelby Chester, Nicholson; a brother, Luther 
Tanner, Commerce; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 8, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Donald Wilson and Donald Phillips officiating. Burial was 
in the Grey Hill Cemetery.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
