DEWEY W. AUSTIN

COMMERCE - Dewey W. Austin, 81, of 46 Cherry St., died Tueday, Septeber 1, 
1992. 

A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Austin was a son ofthe late John and Lovonia 
Powell Austin.  He was a row crop farmer and a member of the Thyatira Baptist 
Church.  He was married to the late Willie Mae Akins Austin. 

Funderal services were at 3 p.m. today at Thyatira Baptist Church.  The Rev. 
Jimmy Owensby officiated, and burial wasin Jackson Memorial Park. 

Survivors include eight sons, Leon Austin, Sonny Austin, and Kimsey Austin, all 
of Danielsville, Billy Austin, Luther Austin and Michael Austin, all of 
Commerce, Filix Austin, Jefferson, and Jeffery Austin, Hull; three duaghters, 
Elizabeth Easterwood, Vero Beach, Fla., Mildred Whitlock, Danielsville, and 
Gail O'Kelley, Commerce; three brothers, Walter Austin and Henry Austin, both 
of Commerce, and Dillard Austin, Bogart; 30 grandchldren; and great-
grandchildren. 

The family is at the residence of Filix Austin, Jefferson River Road, 
Jefferson. 

Little-Ward Fneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
