Hardy Died Yesterday Was Prominent Farmer of Jackson County. Burial Occurs From Mizpah Church The news was received in this city yesterday of the death at his home in Jackson county yesterday morning, of Mr. Samuel H. Hardy, one of the oldest and best known farmers of that section. Mr. Hardy, who had lived in this city for several years, had been ill for some time, and his death yesterday morning at ten o'clock was not unexpected. He was 77 years of age and is survived by four daughters, Mrs. M. A. Parnell of this city, Mrs. Lulu Carrington of Winder, Mrs. Callie E. Archer and Mrs. W. H. Deveraux of Jackson county. They have the sympathy of their many friends in their sad bereavement, and the many friends made by Mr. Hardy during his residence in this city will learn of his death with deep regret. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3:30 at Mizpah church in Jackson county. Athens Banner 25 Feb 1910 p 1 Funeral Notice The friends and acquaintances of the late Mr. Samuel H. Hardy, from Mizpah church in Jackson county, this afternoon at 3:30. Macon Telegraph 26 Feb 1910 Athens, Ga., Feb. 25-Mr. Samuel H. Hardy, one of the oldest and most prominent farmers of Jackson county, died at his home yesterday morning at ten o'clock from old age, having reached the age of 77 years. Mr. Hardy formerly resided here and is survived by four daughters, Mrs. M. A. Parnell of this city, Mrs. Lulu Carrington of Winder, Mrs. C. E. Archer and Mrs. W. H. Devereaux of Jackson county. The funeral was held this afternoon from the Mizpah church in Jackson county.
