Jimmy Franklin Henry, 62, of Nicholson, died Thursday, August 4, 2005, following a sudden illness. He was born on July 28, 1943, in Blount County, Alabama, and was the son of the late Ollie Franklin Henry and the late Irene Harris Sterling. He was a truck driver, a Mason, and was a veteran having served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his step-mother, Opal Henry; step-father, Alton Sterling; and a brother, Danny Roy Sterling. Survivors include his wife, Pat Anglin Henry, Nicholson; daughter and son-in- law, Michelle and Jeff Jones, Athens; sisters, Anita Fowler, Doris Holmes, Barbara Ford, Carol Easterwood and Ann Hill, all of Alabama; brothers, Leon Harris, Winder, Buddy Sterline, Michael Sterling, Pete Sterling, Rayburn Henry, David Henry and Mickey Henry, all of Alabama; and two grandchildren, Taylor Henry and Levi Jones. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 6, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson.
