Died at Seventy-Eight.

Athens, Ga., May 26-
John Jackson, a brother of Hon. Isa Jackson, the ordinary of the county, died 
here yesterday at 6 o'clock, from the effects of a lengthy paralysis.  The 
deceased was born in Jackson county seventy-eight years ago.  For many years he 
was one of the great, prominent and successful farmers in this section, only 
giving it up when extreme old age overtook him.  Eight months ago he was 
stricken with paralysis, and he has lingered on, waiting patiently for the 
end.  He leaves several sons and daughters, all grown and married.  His remains 
were carried to Jackson county today by private conveyance, there to be 
interred in the family burying ground.
