Mr. Jordan was a part-owner of Hyman Brown Insurance Agency, Commerce. He was a member of the Downtown Development Authority, Commerce Booster Club and the Commerce Area Business Association. He was known as the “Voice of the Commerce Tigers.” He was born in Jackson County, and was the son of R.L. Jordan, Jefferson, and Bonnie Alexander Jordan, Commerce. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Denise Hewell Jordan, Commerce; four sons, Caleb Jordan, Commerce, Eli Epps, Augusta, and Jake and Charlie Epps, Commerce; one brother, Robin Jordan, Commerce; one sister, Laverne Bennett, Maysville; granddaughter, Madison Epps, Commerce; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church of Commerce with the Revs. Jentezen Franklin, Douglas Duncan and Donald Wilson officiating. Interment was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Flowers are optional or donations may be made to the Commerce Booster Club, Jefferson Booster Club or the Banks County Booster Club.
