Logan, 65, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006. Born on September 5, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Bennie Lee and Pearl Nixon Logan. He was a retired agriculture, shop and horticulture teacher for 33 years with Floyd County, Dawson County, and Jefferson City School Systems. He was also retired from the Jackson County Correctional Institute as the greenhouse manager and was a member of Galilee Christian Church. Mr. Logan was in the Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Janice Logan; and a son, Kenneth Lee Logan. Survivors include his wife, Janice Pledger Logan, Jefferson; and a sister, Sally A. Logan, Danielsville. Funeral services were held Friday, August 11, at the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Burial was in Attica Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Martin, Phillip Merk, Mike Merk, Todd Corbett, Tim Corbett, Kermit Simmons, Gary Black, Chad Black, Ernest Martin and Chris Nix.
