He was the son of the late Alfred Lee and Gladys O. Pace McGowan. He was a diesel mechanic and was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Christine Patricia Yancey McGowan, Braselton; two sons, Danny Lee Garrison and Anthony Michael Wisenbaker, both of Braselton; two daughters, Wanda Gail Lee, Blountsville, Ala., Samantha Danielle McGowan, Braselton; brother, William George Mackey, Orlando, Fla.; sister, Marguerite West, Homer; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 9, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial was in Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
