At Rest At Last
An Old Citizen of Athens Passes Away
Mr. John D. Mitchell, a very old citizen of Athens, died at the residence of 
Mrs. J. M. Mounce on Meiggs street, at 6 o'clock, a.m., yesterday.

He was born in Halifax, Va., 1913 (sic). 
For a long while he lived in Athens.

This morning at ten o'clock, the funeral will take place at Crooked Creek 
church, in Jackson county.
Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Christian church.

He often declared he was waiting and even longing for his release from earth 
and timely things.
