Hazel Roberts Pruitt, 86, of Commerce, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at BJC 
Medical Center.

Born on January 8, 1920, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late 
James Rainey and Exie Lee Roberts. She was retired from Oxford as a secretary 
and was a member of Harmony Christian Church. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in 
death by her husband, Keffer Roger Pruitt.

Survivors include a nephew, Jimmy Roberts, Commerce; great-nephews, Jim 
Purcell, Athens, and John Purcell, Commerce; great-nieces, Janet Roberts, 
Athens and Mitzi Roberts Shirley, Commerce; two great-great-nephews; and two 
great-great-nieces.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of 
Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial will be 
in the Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.

The family will visit with friends Wednesday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the 
funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony 
Christian Church.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
