William Pruitt
   Commerce - William Gartrell Pruitt, 59, Route 1 Commerce, Webb's Creek
Community, died Thursday, Aug. 28.
   He was a native of Franklin County and a son of Mrs. Annie Mabrey Pruitt and
the late Jesse M. Pruitt.  He was a member of Nail's Creek Baptist Church and a
veteran of World War II.
   Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m.m from Community Baptist Church
with the Revs. Jesse Mealer and R.N. Lacey.  Burial will be in Jackson Memorial
Park.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Carlan Pruitt, of the home, two
daughters, Miss Linda Pruitt, Commerce, and Mrs. Gail Lane, Homer, three sons,
William F. Pruitt, Danielsville, and Chad and Thad Pruitt, both of Commerce; a
brother, Quinton Pruitt, Homer; and three grandchildren.
   Te body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The family will
receive friends a Little-Ward Funeral today from 7-9 p.m.
