June Elaine Ramos-Ruelas, 47, of Athens, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at her 
residence.

She was born in Jackson County on June 13, 1959, and was the daughter of the 
late Ervin and Ruth Baker Elrod. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death 
by a son, Dave Simmons.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandy Simmons, Athens; son, Robert Simmons, 
Athens; Fiancée, Javier Sanchez, Athens; brothers and sister-in-law, Chris 
Elrod, Commerce, Davy Elrod, South Carolina, Dennis and Bamm Bamm Elrod, both 
of Homer, Branham Elrod, Athens; sisters, Ann Smith, Baldwin, Barbara Clark, 
Clarkesville, Sandra Willis, Homer, and Katina Elrod, Commerce.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 20, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home. Burial was in the Hickory Flat United Methodist Church cemetery 
with the Rev. Larry Gailey officiating.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
