ELLIS SELLERS RAY

Ellis Sellers Ray, 94, of 51 Elizabeth St., Commerce, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 
1996, at BJC Medical Center.

The funeral was held Sunday, Jan. 21, at the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home.   The 
Rev. Dennis Kesler officiated and burial was at Grey Hill Cemetery.

A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Ray was born Nov. 9, 1901, to the late 
Bratcher and Emma Brady Sellers.   She was retired after more than 35 years 
with Blue Bell, Inc. and was the widow of Henry Grady Ray.   She was a member 
of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.

She is survived by a son, William H. Ray, Commerce; two daughters, Catherine 
Price, Commerce; Edna Lankford, Douglasville; three brothers, Adel Sellers and 
Tue Sellers, both of Greensboro; Aubrey Sellers, Brunswick; two sisters, Leatus 
Ward, Commerce; Dorothy Bruce, Madison; five grandchildren and 12 great 
grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
