A native of Jackson County, he was the son of Thomas Seagraves of Commerce and Margie Massey Adkins of Ila. He attended school in Banks County and Jackson County. He was a carpet installer and a member of Nicholson Baptist Church. He was the very best daddy, a good son and brother. Everyone remembers his kindness, loyalty, gentleness, loving and joyful spirit. His presence will be immensely missed by all that had contact with him, according to loved ones. Mr. Seagraves was preceded in death by grandparents, Horace and Helen Seagraves and Charlie and Willie R. Massey; and a brother, Leslie Brian Seagraves. Survivors include two sons, Christopher David Seagraves, Jr., Macon, and Dylan Seagraves, Commerce; his parents; four brothers, Greg Seagraves, Pendergrass, Bobby Seagraves, Jefferson, Keith Seagraves, Commerce, and Scott Seagraves, Ila. Funeral services were held Friday, July 29, at the Nicholson Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Smith and Tommy Watson officiating. Burial was in Howington Cemetery, Nicholson. Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
