A. Segard, Dies At Age Of 93 S. A. Segars, one of Jackson county's oldest residents, died suddenly at his home on the Jefferson road at four o'clock Saturday morning. He was 93 years old. Born in Banks county, Mr. Segars had lived in Jefferson county for the past 55 years. Funeral services will be conducted from Redstone Methodist church this afternoon at 2:30, Rev. P. B. Cash, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Pallbearers will be Worth Brock, Will Deavours, Pearl Cooper, Jewell Williamson, Joe Burns, and Einley Spencer. Interment will be in Redstone cemetery, Bernstein Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Segars is survived by four daughers, Mrs. John Moore, Mrs. Ernest Damron, Miss Ovie Segars, and Mrs. E. W. Stancil, all of Jefferson road; five sons, H. H. Segars, White Plains; J. J. Segars, Arcade; H. T. Segars, Akron, Ohio; M. T. Segars, Akron, Ohio; and W. C. Segars, Darberton, Ohio and 29 granchildren and six great-grandchildren.
