Frances Echols Wilbanks, 89, of Bentley at Northminister, Jefferson, formerly 
of Commerce, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at Northeast Georgia Medical 
Center in Gainesville.

She was born in Madison County and was the daughter of the late H.C. and 
Jannie Daniel Echols. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Olive 
Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilbanks was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. 
Wilbanks.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Deborah Cooper, 
Gainesville, and Jimmy W. Cooper, Commerce; half-sister, Betty Lou Burroughs, 
Madison County; grandchildren, Anna Catherine Cooper, Gainesville, Mary Beth 
Cooper, Waco, Texas; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, 
and great-nephews.

Private family graveside services were held Tuesday, November 14, at Jackson 
Memorial Gardens. A memorial service followed the graveside service in the 
chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Dillard Wilbanks and Ruth 
Demby officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 
2930 Flowers Road S., Atlanta, Ga. 30341, or First Baptist Church 3rd Century 
Program, 751 Green St., NW, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
