She was born in Madison County and was the daughter of the late H.C. and Jannie Daniel Echols. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilbanks was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Wilbanks. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Deborah Cooper, Gainesville, and Jimmy W. Cooper, Commerce; half-sister, Betty Lou Burroughs, Madison County; grandchildren, Anna Catherine Cooper, Gainesville, Mary Beth Cooper, Waco, Texas; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Private family graveside services were held Tuesday, November 14, at Jackson Memorial Gardens. A memorial service followed the graveside service in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Dillard Wilbanks and Ruth Demby officiating.
