WILLIAMSON vs WILLIAMSON--COMMISSION FOR DEPOSITIONS

This commission for depositions was issued regarding the civil suit of William 
Williamson against his brother, John Williamson Jr. and nephew, Nathan Camp 
Williamson(son of John Jr.)over the estate of John Williamson Sr. who died in 
Butts Co. GA in October 1831. Basically the case involved financial support for 
the wife of John Sr.(Margaret "Peggy" Williamson)who had separated from John 
Sr. and had lived with bachelor son, William Williamson for an extended period.

Responses from several of the women who are noted here were also found among 
the "loose papers" at Hargrett. Their comments are summarized on this site in 
in "Williamson Kin".
