The obelisk honors Andrew J. Williamson, and his daughter Mary, wife of J. A. Jarrett(see additional cemetery photos). A. J. "Jack" Williamson was born in Jackson Co., one of seventeen children of John Jr. and Winney(Camp) Williamson(sixteen lived to maturity and are named in John Jr.'s will). Jack married Nancy Eveline Kinney(1825-1902)who outlived him by nearly forty years. She is buried in Bethany Methodist Church cemetery. For more family background see "Williamson Kin".
