Borders of the County & State aforesaid being of Sound & Disposing Mind & Memory & Wishing to Dispose of the Property it has Pleased God to bless me with do make this my Last Will & Testament in maner and form following: Item 1st I give and bequeath to my Farther my negro girl Jane about one year old I give to my Mother my negroe woman Mary During her life Item 2nd I give and bequeath to my Brother Enoch H. Borders my negroe Boy Bill & my negroe girl Mila Item 3rd I give & bequeath to my Sister Ann my negroe girl Peg upon her Paying to my Executor hereinafter named three Hundred Dollars Item 4th I give & bequeath to my Sister Lucinda my negro Boy Ben Item 5th I give & bequeath to my Sister Matilda my negro Boy Levi Item 6th I give & Bequeath to my brother Michael Two Hundred Dollars Item 7th I give and bequeath to my brother John Two Hundred Dollars Item 8th I give and bequeath to my Sister Polly one Hundred & fifty Dollars Item 9th I give & bequeath to my Sister Malinda one Hundred Dollars Item 10th I give & bequeath to my nephew Stephen Thornton one Hundred Dollars to be Retained in the hands of my Executor & put at Interest untill he arrives at age Item 11th It is my Will & Desire that my Executor Collect my Effects & Pay of my Debts & the Monied Legacies herein named out of the first Money that comes into his hands Item 12th It is my Desire that my Executor Dispose of my Rail Road Stock to the Best Advantage Item 13th all the Remainder of my Estate both Real and Personal not herein Specially bequeathed I wish my Executor to Sell on Twelve months Credit with approved Security & the money Raised per? the Sale of my Property after paying the monied Legacies to be Eqally Divided among the Legatees herein named Except my nephew Stephen Thornton Item 14th I wish my body to be buried in a Decent & Christian Like maner and Two Toom Stones and a house out Soapstone covered over Item 15th and Lastly I hereby Constitute my Brother Enoch H. Borders Executor to Carry into Effect this my Last Will & Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills Which I may have made In Testamony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 9th Day of January 1839 Stephen S.
