All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm *********************** This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Pattie Causey pacausey@mindspring.com ZACHARIAH COLLINS, Book A, page 100 "I Zachariah Collins of the County of Jackson & State of Georgia do make declare & publish this my last Will & testament in manner & form following to be carried into full effect by my executor hereinafter named (to wit) First My will is that all my Just debts be paid - Secondly I give unto my loving wife Sarah during her natural life the tract of land whereon I now live together with all my remaining Estate reserving to each of my children who may be unmarried at the time of my decease a comfortable support & home upon the same, so long as they may remain in that State and further after the death of said wife I give unto my son Abraham Collins the aforesaid tract of land together with the remaining part of my estate upon his paying to each of my other children the following sums of money herein after stated (to wit) to my son James Collins the sum of fifty dollars, to Eady Wallice wife of Thompson Wallice one hundred dollars, to John Collins the sum of one hundred dollars,! to Rhoda Wright wife of Ellis Wright the sum of one hundred & seventy dollars to Sarah Collins one hundred & seventy dollars, to Henry Collins one hundred dollars, to Elizabeth Collins the sum of one hundred & seventy dollars, to Priscilla Collins the sum of one hundred & seventy dollars to be paid in seven biannual enstalments beginning with the first herein before named, so on untill the said several sums are paid still reserving to my unmarried daughters a comfortable support & home upon said tract of land I further give unto my daughter Sarah Collins one feather bed & furniture To my daughter Elizabeth one feather bed & furniture, To my daughter Priscilla one feather bed & furniture further my will is that I be a fortunate drawer in the present contemplated State land lottery that it may be equally divided amongst all my children herein before named except my son Abraham who is not to have any interest therein. I do hereby appoint my son Abraham Executor of this my! last will & testament Signed sealed & acknowledged published & declared in presence of Russel Jones G.D. Lester Sophia Jones (on right side) Zachariah (his mark) Collins (LS) I Zachariah Collins do hereby revoke & make void so much of this my last will as entitles my son James Collins to any part of my estate either real or personal in as much as I have already given him an equal proportion of the same & I further deduct from the legacy herein before left to my daughter Rhoda Wright one hundred dollars" (probate 1 March 1824)
