All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm *********************** This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: "Pattie Causey" JESSE HARRIS, Book A, page 125 "In the name of God Amen I Jesse Harris of the State of Georgia & County of Jackson being of sound mind & perfect memory, blessed be god for the same do this twenty second day of March eighteen hundred & twenty nine make & publish this my last will & testament in manner & form following first of all I give my soul into the hands of almighty God, who gave it in hopes of a joyful resurrection at the last - where soul & body shall meet. my body after my decease I order to be buried in a decent & Christian like manner & as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless mw with in this life I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner & form 1st I make ordain & Constitute my trusty & beloved wife Viney Harris my executrix & my beloved friend Barnabas Barron my executor of this my last will & testament untill the first of my sons Shall arrive at the age of twenty one years & then I wish him appointed in the room of Barnabas Barrow 2nd I leave & bequeath to beloved wife Viney all my lands, horses, hogs & Cattle with houshold & kitchen furniture & every article by me possessed during her natural life or widowhood. my Sons each as they arrive to the age of twenty one years are to receive from the estate a horse saddle & bridle worth twenty five Dollars each daughters when Married to receive a common qualitied cow & Calf & a common feather bed & furniture. In case my wife Viney should marry all my property to be sold & equally divided amongst my eight children & wife Should She die equally amongst my children in case my wife Should attempt to waste or destroy my property I would wish my executor to take the property out of her hands & sell it agreeable to Law & divide agreeable as before Stated my children are to be raised & supported from my estate & not to pay for their raising after they become of age And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke & disannul all and every other former testament wills ! legacies & bequeathed ratifying & confirming this & no other to be my last will & testament.
