Will of William Nunn 12th Aug 1878 Jackson County, GA Last Will and Testament of William Nunn of Jackson Co., GA In the name of God amen. I WILLIAM NUNN of said state and county being of advanced age but of sound and disposing mind and memory knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right proper both as respects my family and myself that I should make a disposition of this property with which a kind providence has blessed me with. I do therefore make this my last will and testament herby revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made. First, I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for salvation through the minds and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Second, I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executor hereinafter named and appointed. Third, I give and bequeath and devise to my beloved wife PATSEY all the property both real and personal and all my household and kitchen furniture during her lifetime with all the rights, members and (*illegible*) to said property in any use free of charge to her own proper use during her life which I direct to be distributed equally among my legal heirs except CYNTHIA CAROLINE. I give her four hundred dollars in cash and one cow and calf and one saddle one clock and all the bedding that she claims. I give all this extra of an equal share for her services rendered. My entire estate to be divided equal between my heirs BETSEY ANN NASH, MARY ANN PRICKET, NANCY EVALINE MORGAN, NICEY CLEMENTINE PRICKET, WILLIAM THOMAS NUNN, RUBIN R. NUNN, CYNTHIA CAROLINE, the property (*illegible*) above named is her entire share. I also devise and direct that all of my property to be held and equally divided among my heirs as is herein directed after the death of my wife PATSEY. I hereby (*unreadable*) and appoint my friend RUBEN E. NUNN Executor of this my last will and testament, this the 12th day of August 1878. Signed sealed and published by WILLIAM NUNN as his last will and testament in the presence of us the undersigned who subscribed our name here to in the presence of said Testater at his special request and instance and in the presence of each other, this the 12th day August 1878. ELROD who being duly sworn? Says that they with E. C. NUNN saw WILLIAM NUNN sign publish and declare the foregoing writing as his last will and testament while of sound and disposing mind, that they witness of the same for him at his special instance and request. He signing the same in the presence of all the witnesses and they signing in the presence of each other and Testater.
