Item 1st I give & bequeath to Caroline Story & her hus (the wife of James F. Story) the following negroes Viz. Dick Willis Rebecca & the Plantation Whereon I lived before my intermarriage With my Present husband said Property to be used & Enjoyed by said Caroline Story During Life & at her Death to be Equally Divided between her heirs. Item 2nd I give & bequeath to my husband Hardy Strickland my negro Boy Henry together with all my Personal Property not bequeathed in the first item Item In the Event that I should Die before the Close of the year I Desire my negroes to Remain on the Plantation untill the Crop is geathered Item 4th It is my Desire that my Friend Caroline Story have my Wearing apparel Item 5th I hereby appoint Giles Mitchell Executor of this my Last Will & Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills In Witness Wharof I have hereto Set my hand & seal this 5th Day of March 1850 Elizabeth (her mark) Strickland (seal) Signed Sealed & Acknowledged in Presence of James Sisson John J.
