 			HAIRSTON FAMILY RECORDS

"I am including these Hairston Family Records.  They were quite early settlers of Jasper Co, Georgia, coming to the county about 1815-1816.  There is no longer anyone by that name living in Jasper County but Thomas Hairston is my great grandfather.  His daughter, Nancy Jane, was my father's mother."  Irene R. Malone

This bible is now in the posession of Charles Hairston of taylor, Texas.  Charles Hairston is descended from Charles Carter Hairston and his wife Carolyn Regland.  She was born in Jasper County, Georgia, her people also being early settlers.  In 1848, Charles Carter Hariston, his wife and four children moved to Texas, taking the family Bible with them.

	Moses Boynton Hairston	6-21-1847

Thomas Hairston, his wife, his daughter, Frances, and his son, Moses Boynton, all died in Jasper County, Ga.
