Jasper County Georgia Deed Teal Family Bio File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by esl001@worldnet.att.net Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/jasper.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm My ancestor, Elizabeth Teal, married Lacy Hattaway in Jasper Co., GA in 1825. She was born about 1795 in NC and died in 1884 in Campbell (now Fulton) Co., GA. The other Teals who married in Jasper Co., GA 1808-1850 were: Bradberry Teal m. Nancy Robinson 9/22/1825, Henry Teal m. Patsy Young 7/6/1815, Calvin Teal m. Sally Spence 6/7/1815, Lewry Teal m. Simeon Motte 9/8/1824, Penny Teal m. Henry Wideman 2/13/1818. The parents of Lewry, Penny, and Elizabeth are not known but Calvin and Henry were the sons of Loderick Teal; Bradberry was their first cousin, being the son of Loderick Teal's brother, Bradberry Teal Sr. By 1830, Elizabeth and Lacy had moved on to Campbell Co., GA, where Joshua Teal from Pitt Co., NC was also living at that time, as was a Meshack Teal. Lacy Hattaway purchased land from Wash Teal (son of Rev. War soldier Emanuel Teal Jr.) in 1835 in Campbell, the deed being witnessed by Meshack Teal. Lacy and Elizabeth's daughters, Mary and Naomi Hattaway, married Jesse Teal and Meshack Teal, respectively (not the same Meshack). There are multiple connections, including Elizabeth's inclusion in her estate to Pernina Teal Carter, whom I am wondering was her half sister. ======================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
