McCain are held and firmly bound unto their honors the Judges of the Court of Ordinary and their successors in office in the sum of Ten thousand dollars for which payment to the said Judges and their successors in office we bind ourselves our heirs and assigns Jointly and securely firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 7 day of September 1818. The Condition of the above bond or obligation is such that whereas the said Benjamin Echols is this day appointed guardian of the person and property of John Ellis orphan and minor of Radford Ellis deceased now if the said Benjamin do well and truly demean himself as guardian aforesaid and agreeable to letters of guardianship bearing ____ date herewith and agreeable to law in such cases made and provided then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force power and virtue. Berry His Receipt from Radford Ellis est. February 23th 1824 I Radford Berry Being Dewly autherised as agent for Presley A. Bery to setel Rece all sums of money Dew him by law of Radford Ellis Decd have this Day Seteled with James Ellis one of the Exetors of Radf Ellis Decd. There being one hundred and fifty dollars Dew sd Presley A. Berry from said Estate Presley A. Berry having himself Recd fifty dollars it Being his full share of undivid tot of lot No 105 and the charge from the cost 55 Dollars I owed said Ellis for Bord & lothing & Scooling and fourteen Dollars 12 ½ Sents for scoling in the year 1819 and Eleven Dollars Said Ellis paid for Presley A. Bery by Note there being twenty Dollars yet Dew said Bery which was taken out of said Ellis hands by garnishees on this 21 of this month past for which I Radford Berry as Ageant for Presley A. Berry have Seteled in full with said James Ellis for all sume of money Dew Presley A. Berry from Radford Ellis Estate Decd Received in full by me on Setling all Demands against said Radford Ellis Estate as full as if Presley A. Berry was personley present Received by me in full of all Demands as ________ as Exetor of said Estate from James Ellis. Radford Berry Test John Ellis James Ellis and Wm Ellis Exetors of Radford Ellis, Decd 1824 Georgia Jasper County November 7th 1825 a ganral Return of Radford Ellis Estate Decd Received of James Ellis Exetor of Radford Ellis estate Decd all my estate both real and personal I say Received in full all demands of said Radfor Ellis estate this twenty third of March 1825 John Ellis September 16th 1823 I Radford Berry have this day received of James Ellis one of the exetors of Radford Ellis estate decd one hundred dollars it being my full share of Radford Ellis estate left to me by his full share of Radford Ellis estate left to me by his last will and testament I say Received by me in full Radford Berry $100.00 September 16th 1823 I Radford Berry have this day Received of James Ellis my full share It being fifty dollars which was dew me out of a lot of land No. 105 Bout of James Stanley by Radford Ellis lying in the 18 district of Jasper County. Georgia Jasper County Know all men by these presents, that we James Ellis and Benjamin Echols are held and firmly bound unto the Justices of the Court of Ordinary, and their successors in office, in the just sum of Ten Thousand dollars payable by the said James and Benjamin or either of them, their heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, jointly and severally – to be void on condition, that if the said James & Benjamin Ellis shall do and perform all the duties of Guardianship for the person and property of John Ellis Orphan of Rad Ellis as the law requires of him, otherwise to remain in full force, power and virtue.
