This Indenture made this first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand 
eight hundred and fourteen between Agrippa Atkinson of the one part and Joshua 
Grace of the other part  Witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the sum 
of Two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the said Agrippa Atkinson 
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged by the said Agrippa Atkinson and further hath bargained, 
sold and delivered and these presents do bargain, sell and deliver unto the 
said Joshua Grace all that tract or parcel of land containing One hundred (sic) 
it being half of the lot of land drawn by Deares (sp?) Harper in the fifteenth 
district known by number Twenty eight in said District bounded on the north by 
No. 29. on the south by No. 3. on the East by the other half of said lot and 
having such marks as will appear from a plat of the same, the right and title 
of said land I the said Agrippa Atkinson do herein bind myself my heirs 
Executors & assigns to warrant and defend unto his the said Joshua Grace his 
heirs, Executors & assigns forever in fee simple. In witness hereof I have 
hereunto set my hand seal, (sic) the day and date above mentioned

she saw the within deed executed and that Arthur Atkinson was a subscribing
