NOTE: Unless stated otherwise, all grantors and grantees were from the area now called Jasper County, Georgia. Before 1807 this same area was a part of Baldwin County and from 1807 until 1812 it was called Randolph County. In 1812 the name was changed to Jasper County. The names listed here are spelled the same as the actual record to the best of my ability to read the record. Words that could not be identified are placed in parenthesis with my best guess followed with a question mark. WHW Book B1, page 36 & 37, dated Sep. 26, 1816. CLEVELAND for $450. 225 acres more or less commencing on a Rock corner on the line of WILLIAM PEACOCKS land & along the line of WILLIAM PEACOCKS land to a Stake on JONES land thence along WOODFINS line to an (??) stake Corner thence along the other line of WOODFINS Land to a Water Oak Corner on NORTHERNS Land half way along the original Line thence to the beginning. JAMES F. ROBINSON sold to AMOS WARD for $5.00, plus $373.22 with interest and Court cost. AMOS WARD was JAMES F. ROBINSON'S security on a Court case during the October Term of the Superior Court between JOSHUA G. MOORE, the Plaintiff, and JAMES F. ROBINSON, the defendant. Defendants attorneys were SHORTER & GORDON. (Note: Apparently this property was offered as collateral to AMOS WARD for his expenses as the security on the case, if JAMES F. ROBINSON lost his appeal.) Description: 186 acres more or less (in Jasper County) whereon HOMER PYLE now lives and known as the CLACKLEY place, and which was conveyed to the said ROBINSON by AUSLEM L. Description: 25 acres, District 17, part of Lot 170 adjoining NEWBY, COCHRAN, & others commencing at a hickory corner on the District line then to the Creek and the Creek being the line to COCHRAN'S line then to NEWBY'S line thence to the first dilatation. WARD gives a promissory note to ELI GLOVER in the amount of $653 plus interest, to be paid on or before Jan. 14, 1834, for four Negro slaves. Description: One Negro man named Dick, thirty four years old, a boy named Ben about eleven years old & one named Dred about ten years old, and a girl named Jinney twelve years old. Signed: B. F.
