All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert Ellis http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004075 July 4, 2007, 1:09 pm Written: January 10, 1818 ELIZABETH ELLIS TO WILLIAM STORY Georgia Jasper County This indenture made the tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between Elizabeth Ellis Executrix to the last will and testament of Radford Ellis deceased of the one part and William Story of the other part Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Ellis Executrix aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to her in hand well and truly paid the said William Story the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted sold and delivered and do by these present bargain sell deliver confirm and convey & C all that lot or parcel of land lying and being in the eighteenth district known by No. one hundred and five originally granted to William Davenport containing agreeable to a part of the same two hundred as follows northwest by Alexander McKay, northeast by lot No. one hundred and one and on the other two sides by lots number one hundred and twenty two and one hundred and six which said lot tract or parcel of land I do and will forever warrant from me and my heirs and all claim or claims whatsoever unto the said William Story his heirs and assigns in fee simple in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written. Elizabeth Ellis Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of William Fincher Archibald “X” Fincher His mark Recorded January 5th 1819 J. Willson, Clk Georgia Jasper County In person came William Fincher before me one of the acting justices for said County and after between duly sworn saith that he saw Elizabeth Ellis execute the within deed for the person within mentioned and that Archibald and himself were subscribing witness to the same.
