JAMES ELLIS  TO  WILLIAM ASKEW

Georgia 
Jasper County
This Indenture made the 11th of June eighteen hundred and twenty one between 
James Ellis of the County & State of the one part and William Askew of the same 
county and state aforesaid witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum 
of sixteen dollars to him in hand paid at and before the receipt of these 
presents doth grant bargain and sell unto William Askew his heirs and assigns 
all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the Eighteenth 
District formerly Baldwin but now Jasper County containing seventy three acres 
of land more or less known and distinguished in the said district by Fraction 
No. 62 in the said District and on the old boundary line and waters of Bare 
Creek together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances 
thereof unto the said tract or parcel of land being belonging or anywise 
appertaining to the said William Askew his heirs and assigns forever for I the 
said James Ellis do warrant and defend from me and my heirs only to William 
Askew his heirs forever.  In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affixed 
my seal.

James Ellis came before me and acknowledged that he assigned the within Deed 
for the purposes of the within mentioned this 28th of July 1821.
