All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert Ellis http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004075 July 4, 2007, 1:27 pm Written: October 18, 1818 RADFORD ELLIS TO JAMES WOOD Georgia This Indenture made this 17th day of October Eighteen hundred and eight between Radford Ellis of the county of Randolph and state aforesaid of the one part and James Wood of the county of Green and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth the said Radford Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold & by these presents do give grant bargain sell unto the said James Wood a certain tract of Land, Drawn by Samuel Brasswell Senr of Butlers district Clarke county, situate in the nineteenth district in the county of Baldwin containing two hundred two and one half acres of land which is known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number one hundred and ten joining the fifteenth district and lot One hundred and nine & C as will more fully and at large appear by a plat anexed to a grant for same bearing date the twenty eighth day of January Eighteen hundred and eight signed by his excellency James Irwin Govr & C Together with all that does or may in any manner whatsoever thereunto appertain and I the aforesaid Radford Ellis for myself and my heirs & C do warrant and forever defend the lawful right and title of the aforesaid granted premises and all and every of its appurtenances unto the aforesaid James Wood from me & my heirs and from all and every person or persons Whatsoever claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof Fully and absolutely unto the aforesaid James Wood his heirs and assigns forever and clear and undefeasible Estate in fee simple. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first above written.
