This Indenture made this Twenty Eight day of August in the year Eighteen 
hundred & Twelve between Jesse Evans Jr. of the County of Randolph of the one 
part and Seaton Grantland and Fleming Grantland of the County of Baldwin of the 
other part all of the state aforesaid  Witnesseth that the said Jesse Evans Jr 
for & in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred & fifty dollars to him paid at 
& before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath bargained granted & Sold & by these presents doth bargain 
grant & sell unto the said Seaton & Fleming Grantland and their heirs as 
tenants in common and not as joint tenants all that tract or parcel of Land 
lying being & situate in the County of Randolph containing one hundred one & 
one fourth acres more or less being the one half part or mostly of a Lot or 
tract of Land known & distinguished in the general plan by Lot number Two 
hundred and Twelve in the Seventeenth District of Baldwin now Randolph Whereon 
Samuel Watkins and George Scrogins now live  To have and to hold the said Tract 
or parcel of Land, Together with all and singular the rights members and 
appurtenances unto the said tract or parcel of Land being belonging or in any 
wise appertaining unto the said Seaton & Fleming Grantland and their heirs in 
fee simple forever and the said Jesse Evans Jr. for himself and his heirs unto 
the said Seaton & Fleming Grantland and their heirs the said tract or parcel of 
land with the appurtenances against the claim of all and every person or 
persons whatsoever shall & by these presents will warrant & forever defend
   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & year above 
written
