Mr. John J. Harris is authorized by me, to receipt for the property of William 
Ellison and Soloman Gross- Macon January 8th 1848  R___
                                               Charles P. Levy

     Received of Joseph C. Post adm’r of the Estate of John Gross dec’d in my 
own right as Guardian of Mary L. Gross orphan of said John Gross & as agent of 
Charles P. Levy Guardian of William, Ellison & Soloman Gross- orphans of  said 
John Gross- the negroes, Summer, a man, Rhoda, a girl, Michael a boy, Will a 
boy, & Wash a boy,- being all the negroes belonging to said Estate remaining 
in the said adm’r hands- delivered under an order of the Court of Ordinary of 
Jasper County, at January Term 1848, This 11th day of January 1848.

deceased the Deeds for lot of land known when drawn as lot No. (218) Two 
hundred and Eighteen in the eleventh District, Second Section, as a part of 
the effects of said Estate, Jany 11th day 1848- John J Harris for

Georgia, Jasper County, Received from Joseph C. Post, administrator of the 
Estate of John R Gross late of Jasper County deceased, five hundred Dollars In 
part of my legacy in the Estate of so deceased, by virtue of my intermarriage 
with the widdow (sic) of dec’d- this 7th January One thousand Eight hundred
