This indenture made the fourth day of March,in the year of our Lord,Nineteen hundred and seven between the Monticello Hotel Company,a corporation duly organized under the laws of Georgia,with its principal office and place of business at Monticello in said Jasper County of the first part,and George W.Stinson and his wife,Nancy Carter Stinson,of said county of the second part,Witnesseth:That in pursuance of a resolution adopted by the stock-holders and the directors of said corporation,party of the first part,at regular meetings thereof on March 1, 1907, authorizing the conveyance hereby made,the said party of the first part,for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven thousand Two hundred and eighty dollars ($11,280.00) in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents,the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,has granted,bargained,sold,aliened,conveyed and confirmed,and by these presents does grant,bargain,sell,alien,convey and confirm unto said George W.Stinson and Nancy Carter Stinson,parties of the second part,as tenants in common,share and share alike,that is to say a one- half undivided interest to each,their heirs and assigns,all the following described property,to-wit:A certain City lot with all improvements thereon in the City of Monticello,Jasper County,Georgia,bounded north by lands of J.L.Campbell,east by Forsyth street,south by Green street,and west by lands of M.S.Benton,being that lot of land on which the brick hotel of the Monticello Hotel Co.,is now located,and being all of that lot conveyed by Sallie A.Meriwether to the Monticello Hotel Co., by deed dated August 31 1904,estimated to contain two and one-half acres,more or less,but said acreage not warranted,and this conveyance not made on the basis of said acreage named.To have and to hold the said above granted and described property,with all and singular the rights,members and appurtenances thereunto appertaining,to the only use,benefit and behoof of the said parties of the second part,their heirs,executors,administrators,and assigns,in fee simple;and the said party of the first part the said bargained property above described unto the said parties of the second part their heirs,executors,administrators and assigns,against the said party of the first part, its successors and assigns,against the said party of the first part,its successors and assigns,and against all and every other person or persons shall and will,and does hereby warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto caused its corporate signature and seal to be hereto set and affixed by its duly authorized President,and has delivered these presents the day and year first above written.
