Wilson by Jack A. Johnson for $435.00 for 70 acres on the waters of Murder Creek. Dated December 22, 1837 Georgia Jasper County This indenture made this the twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven between Jack A. Johnson of the one part and Abel P. Wilson of the other part both of the county and state aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Jack A. Johnson for an in consideration of the sum of four hundred and thirty five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Abel P. Wilson the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold conveyed and confirmed unto the said Abel P. a certain parcel of land lying on the waters of murder creek containing seventy (70 ) acres the same more of less bounded as follows, viz, commencing at Dismukes corner near the mill spring running thence a short distance and striking the pond running off said pond with or to the high water mark to the head thereof the creek then the line to the line of Wm. Flemister’s land thence along that line to A. P. Wilson’s line thence a long said line to the corner which is known by Mobley’s and Callaway’s corner thence setting off and running a straight line with Wilson’s land and said tract to the beginning corner or to the corner of Wilson and Dismukes thence a little variation to the beginning corner. To have and to hold the above bargained premises together with all the appurtenances, issues, rents and profits thereof unto the said A.P. Wilson his heirs and assigns forever against myself my heirs administrators or assigns unto the said A.P. Wilson his heirs and assigns and do warrant and forever defend the same.
