This Indenture fifth of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and thirteen between Tirey Kelley of the State of Georgia County of 
Jasper of the one part and Alexander Hood of the same State and County 
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum 
of two hundred and fifty dollars to him the sd. Tirey Kelley in hand paid by 
the said Alexander Hood the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath 
bargained, sold & delivered unto sd. Alexander Hood all that tract or parcel of 
land situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid in the 
eighteenth district known in the plan by No. 28 containing ninety one and one 
fourth acres more or less adjoining Claiborne Doss & Wm. McCorkle, it being the 
land whereon Tyre Kelley now lives together with all and singular the rights 
members and appurtenances unto the sd. Alexander Hood his heirs and assigns in 
fee simple, and I the sd. Tirey Kelley do for myself, my heirs, executors, 
administrators and assigns warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract or 
parcel of land together with all and singular the rights title interest claims 
or demands of any other person or persons whatever.  In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day and year first above written.

Personally appeared Joshua Baker and after being duly sworn maketh oath & said 
that he Tyre Kelley assign the within deed __________ and Baker was a 
subscribing witness to the same.  Sworn to before me this 11 day of January 
1817.
