The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Deed: Jeremiah Lumsden and Samuel Thompson Jasper Co, Ga Record: Deed Book 6 (251) Date 21 Dec 1811 This indenture made this 21 day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven and in the thirty sixth year of the Independence of America between Jeremiah Lumsden of Randolph County and State of Georgia of the one part and Samuel Thompson of the county and state aforesaid of the other part-Witnesseth, that the said Jeremiah Lumsden for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained sold and confirmed and by these presence do bargain sell and confirm unto the said Samuel Thompson all that tract or parcel of land containing by estimation one hundred and fifty acres being the same more or less lying on the waters of Murder Creek and known by part of No fifty Six in the fifteenth District of formerly Baldwin now Randolph County, beginning at a black oak on the west corner, thence the original line to a black oak thence on the original line to a black oak pine{?} thence on the original line to a black oak thence a new marked line to a white oak thence to a pine thence to the beginning together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with their and every of their rights, members and appurtenances unto the said Samuel Thompson his heirs and assigns. And the said Jeremiah Lumsden his heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend the premises aforesaid unto the said Samuel Thompson his heirs and assigns against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever.
