JAMES STANLEY  TO  RADFORD ELLIS

Randolph County
Know ye that I James Standley of the County of Randolph and the state aforesaid 
for and in consideration of five thousand dollars received to my full 
satisfaction of Radford Ellis of sd. county and state do give grant bargain 
sell and confirm unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns Forever a 
certain lot of land containing 202½  acres known by the plat annexed to the sd. 
grant to be the No. 105 which was granted to William Davenport on the 
nineteenth day of May in the year Eighteen Hundred and nine lying in the 
Eighteenth District Randolph County on Rocky Creek bounded by lot No. 106 E., 
thence No. 26.  By lot No. 107, thence S. 26, No. 104 thence SE by No. 122, to 
have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with appurtenances 
thereof unto him the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns forever to his 
and their own proper use and behoof and also I the said James Standley do for 
myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Radford 
Ellis his heirs and assigns that at and untill the _________ of these presents 
I am well seized of the premises a good indefensible Estate in fee Simple and 
have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and from as is above 
written that the same is free from all incumbrance whatsoever and furthermore I 
the said James Stanley do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to 
warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him to the said 
Radford Ellis and 
his heirs and assigns.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand on the 
15th day of August 1812.  Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us.

subscribing witness to the within deed and he saw Lewis McLean sign the same as 
a witness.  Sworn to this tenth of January Eighteen hundred and Eighteen.
