DAVID WOOD  TO  RADFORD ELLIS 

State Georgia
This Indenture made this twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and seven between David Wood of the State of Georgia 
Clarke County & Radford Ellis of same State and Baldwin County Witnesseth that 
said Wood hath bargain’d & sold unto said Ellis one lot of land drawn by said 
Wood in the last lottery lying in the eighteenth district of Baldwin County & 
one hundred and twenty fifth number, It being same lot said Ellis now lives on 
for the consideration of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at or being 
the sealing of these presents the receipt is hereby acknowledged and said Wood 
for his part do warrant and forever defend the title of said lot of land as 
above described from himself, his heirs and assigns and every other person 
whatsoever to the only proper and benefit & behoof in fee simple estate to said 
Ellis & his heirs and assigns forever.  Given under my hand or seal this day & 
date above written.
