Jackson Argus - Wk of March 19, 1900
George Dillard

Master George Dillard, son of Rev. W. B. Dillard pastor of the Methodist church 
in Monticello, died of small pox in that town Monday.  His demise came after an 
illness of twelve days.  Only four persons were allowed to attend the funeral.  
This is the first death from small pox in our sister town of Monticello.
