Mrs. Hattie Hood, wife of Dr. J. R. Hood, died last Thursday (4 Feb 1909) in 
Wedowee at 3 o'clock p.m.  She was born in Jasper County, Georgia in 1833;  was 
married to J. R. Hood in 1852.  She had been a member of the Methodist church 
for 60 years.  She is the mother of 10 children, 46 grandchildren, 47 great 
grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  A good woman is gone.

Mr. Jack Hood of Atlanta was here to attend the burial of his mother last week.
