Death of Dr. Maddux

Monticello, Ga., July 23 – Dr. W.D. Maddux, one of Monticello’s oldest and most 
prominent citizens, died yesterday after an illness of several months.  Dr. 
Maddux had practiced medicine for over 50 years.  He was one of the charter 
members of the Georgia Medical Association, and is said to be the oldest 
practitioner in the state.
