Below is an abstract of the Will & proceedings of John C. Maddox of Jasper 
County, GA:

NAMES AND RELATIONSHIPS MENTION:  Sister Areminta Maddox; Flournay who is 
noted to be the daughter of John Maddox's deceased brother-in-law W.F. 
Flournay; brother James L. Maddux; nephew John W. Maddux.

SPECIAL NOTES:  Slave Sampson is not to be sold from the family; $500 set 
aside for John's tomb and expanding family cemetery.
