Below is an abstract of the will & estate records of John Maddux (see also the 
abstract of his son's estate, John C. Maddux in 1860):

NAMES AND RELATIONSHIPS MENTIONED:  Wife Sarah; son Simpson Maddux; son 
Abraham B. Maddox; son James L. Maddux.

SPECIAL NOTES:  Had another son, John C. Maddux who died in 1869 (Jasper Will 
Book 14, page 161).  Abraham B and James L. Maddux are executors.

Also mentioned is that Emory Maddux had previously divided land which John 
Maddox is dividing among heirs.
